LOVEly Day

So, I live in the city of love, tomorrow is Valentines Day, and I am a hopeless romantic who is currently single. To almost anyone this would be a recipe for disaster. Or atleast an excuse to spend the weekend eating their body weight in macaroons and watching films with Ryan Gosling in. However, I decided this year to look at things positively and celebrate love as much as possible. Just because I am not romantically in love or loved doesn't mean that I don't have a hell of a lot of love in my life. I have the most wonderful set of friends, a solid and supportive family and I'm living out one of my dreams. Life is really rather good. So today I took myself off to a couple of different romantic spots, bought myself two valentines themed cupcakes (ate said cupcakes) and spent my evening speaking to my nearest and dearest.
Whatever your relationship status currently, take a moment tomorrow to think of all the wonderful people you have in your life and just how bloody lucky you are. And for gods sake don't watch The Notebook, you're just asking for it.

I wonder if Ben and Betty are still together? I hope so

  1. I stumbled upon your blog completely by accident, but I'm so glad I did. I LOVED this post about Valentine's Day. I am in your position (except for I'm right outside of London) and share your same attitude. I think it is so important for people to see all the love in their lives, romantic or not. Most of all I think it's important to love yourself, which is why I was SO glad to see that you treated yourself to a couple of cupcakes and romantic sightseeing. (I treated myself to some chocolate.) Anyway, just wanted to drop you a line and tell you that you're refreshing, and I appreciate it.
