Gold'n Beautiful Company

I'd been wanting to go this exhibition of Fred Jagueneau's work for a while and it was getting to the stage where it might be too late. It was curated by Nan Goldin, hands down my favourite photographer in life. It was breathtaking. Honestly. He takes photos of the places and people you wish you'd seen in your life. But not as an observer. As part of the situation. He breathes himself into the images, like he's there, with you, with the subject, in every part of the process. My friend Mbaka observed whilst looking at the display "You're never really alone, nothing is really empty. There's always something there, you just have to see it"
Nothing else comes close to better describing his work than that statement.
