An Affair with Russia

I know that everyone in the UK has probably already seen this film but it isn't released here until 5th December and I am just so, so excited to see it. Directed by Joe Wright, the same man behind the incredible film adaptation of Pride & Prejudice, one of my all time faves, the style reminds me a little of Baz Lurhman. The costumes are just so beautiful and the telling of the story through a stage looks incredible. I'm going through a 'last-days-of-Russia' moment right now and am reading a lot about the revolution and fall of Nicolas II, the last Russian Tsar. I really want to get hold of 'Former People: The Last Days of the Russian Aristocracy' by Douglas Smith and read it.
